Royal Rally is back with a brand-new twist!
Introducing The Collector’s Edition Rally — part road adventure, part collector’s challenge, and all-out fun.

Just like a poker rally, you’ll visit pit stops (drawing stations) along a scenic route, but instead of drawing cards, you’ll randomly pick Hot Wheels & Matchbox cars. Each die-cast ride carries a mystery points value — exotics, racecars, 70s legends and more. You’ll build your “garage” throughout the day, earning points as you go. The catch? In order to pick a car at each stop, you have to complete a task first!

Starting and ending in Calgary, the rally runs in two legs, Morning and Afternoon, with lunch, dinner, and plenty of photo ops in between. You’ll hit three pit stops in the morning and two in the afternoon, where you’ll draw a Hot Wheels or Matchbox car before hitting a final pit stop, dubbed the “Trading Post”, where you can trade cars from your garage for exclusive, and possibly high-value rides. Will you play it safe and keep your garage intact, or take a risk for bigger points?

We’ll then head back to Calgary for our awards ceremony and dinner. At day’s end, we’ll tally up everyone’s points and crown the Collector’s Edition champion, who’ll take home the grand prize (and bragging rights)!

Fun roads, cool cars and great people — who’s in?

Grand Prize

• The current grand prize is worth $1,300 and includes: $750 cash, a selection of Hot Wheels Premium diecast models, a pair of Royal Rally zip hoodies, a detailing package and a $100 Big T’s BBQ gift card.

Timing

• This is a full-day event, from approximately 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. The event includes both lunch and dinner, as well as an awards ceremony.

Want an edge?

• At the start line, you’ll have the opportunity to make a $20 charitable contribution to the Luna Child & Youth Advocacy Centre. In exchange, you’ll receive a “Golden Wrench” advantage. The Golden Wrench is an opportunity for you to skip the task at any one stop of your choosing, or save it for the trading post to made a 1:1 trade (one of your cars for another car that might better-suit your garage to earn you more points).
• Golden wrenches can only be acquired by making a direct donation to Luna at the start line. Maximum two per team.

The Trading Post

• When you arrive at the Trading Post, you’ll have the opportunity to trade three cars from your garage for a higher-value Silver Series or Premium Hot Wheels car, that could be worth up to six points! It’s truly a “roll of the dice”!
• If you save your bonus charity advantage for the Trading Post, you’ll also be able to make a 1:1 trade for a car that might suit your garage better and earn you more points.

Charity

• This event is supporting Luna Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, with a portion of proceeds being donated to support programs and services for children and youth impacted by abuse.

• Late payment pricing increases to $440 after May 1, 2026.

The event route is approximately 550km, and will be full of great roads, epic scenery and plenty of fun! Fire up your engines, and get ready to roll — the road to victory is paved in die-cast metal!
