ABOUT ROYAL RALLY:
Royal Rally was founded on the idea that the best times can be had by bringing together a group of adventure enthusiasts who love the open road. But we’re not your typical road rally!
Our events, taking place in Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and the United States, are best described as supercharged scavenger-hunts on wheels, raising money for charities and donating to educational and historic venues along the way. At the start of each event, teams are given a route card containing checkpoints, bonus activities and more. Teams must define their own route(s) to reach each location they choose to visit.
Royal Rally is based around spirit and camaraderie. It is not a race! Speeding and reckless driving are not tolerated on our events.
Royal Rally’s points system rewards those who think outside the box and take the time to complete checkpoint tasks. Teams are expected to drive safely and responsibly, with consideration for the rules of the road and all venues we visit along the way. Because the event is scavenger-hunt based, we do not provide teams with directions. It is up to participants to determine how to get to each location they choose to visit. Teams are under no obligation to visit all suggested venues along the route.
Based out of Alberta, Royal Rally sees teams navigate through the route to each checkpoint and earn points by solving questions, taking photos and completing bonus tasks for additional points. At the end of the event, the teams with the most points will walk away with the first, second and third place trophies.
We also award teams based on their unique factor. Whether you dress up, create a team theme, start a prank war or a megaphone battle, you’ll be in contention for the Royal Rally Spirit Award, which is handed out to the most memorable team on the event.
Royal Rally supports local and international charities. Proceeds from Royal Rally are donated to various charities identified by our partner organizations, as well as not-for-profits we visit. This year, we supported the Luna Child & Youth Advocacy Centre. We’ve previously supported not-for-profit groups such as: House of Cars Foundation, Avenue 15 Homeless Youth Shelter, The Calgary Food Bank, Samaritans Purse, Birds of Prey Foundation, Accelerate Change Foundation, The Creston Museum and Archives and the Nanton Bomber Command Museum.
